This book is an exploration of a trajectory of words and ideas I associated with the word "Spork". The supposed history of the spork is that it was invented by General MacArthur to replace chopsticks during the occupation of Japan after he decided that the fork was too dangerous for them to have.
The words I chose were mass production, convenience, civilization, military, imperialism, subservience, and finally paranoia. The words move from the outermose associations in, with paranoia in the middle, and the destruction of the grid system acknowledges this.
